Abstract

In this paper, the ecological functions of the university English teaching platform are studied under the concept of human health and health community, the material circulation pathways in the English teaching system are analyzed, the spiritual, psychological and atmospheric construction among ecological subjects are explored as well as the information exchange effects between teachers and students and the environment, ecological factors and ecosystem are evaluated. Then the online teaching system architecture of English listening and speaking courses in colleges and universities was designed based on human-computer interaction technology, and a web-based multi-level distributed B/S structure was used to realize the use and management of the system. Finally, an independent sample t-test was conducted on listening scores and speaking scores to analyze the effect of the online learning platform on the teaching effect of English listening and speaking for college students and to test the stability of the ecological function of the teaching system. In the total score of speaking test, the scores of experimental class and control class were 12.456 and 10.967 respectively, and the t-value was 2.856, which was significantly different. There was a significant difference in the total score of the listening test with a t-value of 0.846. It shows that the use of online learning platform has a significant impact on improving the effectiveness of students’ English listening and speaking instruction. This paper has important implications for promoting the construction of a human health community and promoting the ecological function of teaching English courses.
