Furniture Form Design Based on Ecological Aesthetics

Abstract

Examining the process of making furniture reveals that it has existed from the dawn of human history. Furniture has evolved alongside human evolution; it is now a major business and a socio-cultural symbol in addition to being a basic need. The current century has seen an increase in global resource use together with an increase in human population, which has put the ecosystem's reaction under pressure. Due to the global crisis, the low carbon movement spawned the field of ecological aesthetics. The concepts of ecological aesthetics were included into the design of furniture in this study, which also provided a detailed explanation of the ecological aesthetics-based furniture design strategy from the viewpoints of material choice, modelling, function, and structure. The examination of this will further develop furniture design strategies and proposition scholarly bearing for impending furniture design. Moreover, it will conclude the ecological stylish heading of forthcoming furniture designs, which can expect the agreeable concurrence of people and nature.
