Main Article Content
Abstract
Piano music can bring a variety of emotional experiences to people, and has a soothing and mood-regulating effect. This paper first addresses the psychological and physiological basis of the psychological regulation function of music, including the cognitive neuroscience of the psychological regulation function of music. Secondly, the importance of piano music for the regulation of public mental health is analyzed and the basic principles of piano music for the regulation of psychological anxiety are explained. Finally, in order to verify the effect of piano music on mental health interventions for the general public, a pre and post test and an example analysis of the intervention factors were conducted. The results showed that the p-values for depression, anxiety, and paranoia after piano music for mental health intervention were 0.000, 0.001, and 0.032, respectively, which were less than 0.05 and significantly different. The low self-esteem and social factors in the experimental group after the intervention increased by 108.87% and 120.81%, respectively, compared to the control group. This indicates that mental health intervention through piano music can be effective and can promote the development of mental health, self-confidence, and social skills in the general population.
