Abstract

This paper firstly studies college English teaching from the perspective of ecosystem, where teachers, students and knowledge form a good cycle of interaction among them and constitute a complete ecological chain. Secondly, in the university English teaching ecosystem, the student group and the teacher group together form a cluster covering various dynamic relationships between teachers and students in teaching and learning in order to generate an excellent university English teaching cluster, and also propose innovative teaching strategies and diversified evaluation systems for university English literature to promote the sustainable development of the university English teaching ecosystem. Then, on the five-level theory of healthy psychological cognition, we correctly understand the English psychological cognitive goals and conduct an example analysis of English teaching based on healthy psychological cognition from three aspects: ecosystem weights, learning motivation and self-efficacy. The results showed that the four dimensions of English learning self-efficacy, sense of competence in completing tasks, sense of confidence in reaching goals, and sense of competence in overcoming difficulties, were significantly correlated with different motivations for English learning, and that different motivations for English learning were significantly correlated with English learning self-efficacy. Together, they promote the formation and development of comprehensive English usage skills.
