Abstract

There has been an improvement of interest in exploring new educational approaches that aim to improve both academic achievement and the overall development of students. This research examines the relationship between theater arts and educations skills. The effects of integrating process drama into traditional theatrical arts training are examined in this study using a multi-stage cluster randomized design. The investigation takes place in an urban school district with a high level of poverty, where there are more obstacles to education. This research employed a methodical and comprehensive approach that involved several phases and randomization to assess the impact of integrating process drama into the traditional theatrical arts curriculum. The study involved selecting students from the seventh and eighth grades and grouping the classrooms using a random clustering technique. Ensuring a comprehensive and impartial understanding of the potential effects of arts integration on student achievement was the aim of this strategy. The outcomes of this research indicate to a well-established relationship between academic success and arts integration. Comparing students in process drama classrooms to those in traditional schools, the study found that the former group had better skills in higher education and the theatrical arts. The results demonstrate how theatrical arts might encourage higher academic attainment, especially in environments with socioeconomic challenges.
