Innovative Additives for Polymers: Enhancing Performance, Durability, and Sustainability
Main Article Content
Abstract
Polymer additives are essential in modifying and improving the mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of polymer materials. These additives, including stabilizers, plasticizers, flame retardants, and fillers, enable polymers to meet the demands of industries such as packaging, automotive, aerospace, and healthcare. With the rising concern for environmental sustainability, research has shifted towards bio-based and nanotechnology-enhanced additives that promote recyclability and biodegradability. This paper explores the latest advancements in polymer additives, their role in improving polymer longevity, and their potential impact on sustainability. The study also highlights challenges associated with conventional additives and the need for innovative, eco-friendly alternatives.
